Respondent Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 1.8.2013, and directing the respondent to change the name in the computer patta issued by the respondent vide Patta No.902 to incorporate the petitioner's grandfather's name as Gopal Mudaliar instead of Lakshmana Mudaliar.

By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
2.The petitioner would state that his great grandfather viz. Munusamy Mudaliar, owned lands in Survey No.241/12, 13, 13B, 6 and 8 vide Patta No.902 issued by the respondent, and after his demise, his grandfather viz. Gopal Mudaliar, succeeded to his estate. The petitioner would further state that during the course of patta entry in the computer, in respect of the above said properties, wrong entries have been made as to the name of the person, as Lakshmana Mudaliar, son of Murugesa Mudaliar, instead of Gopal Mudaliar, son of Murugesa Mudaliar, and in this regard, he submitted a representation dated 1.8.2013, and his statement was recorded by the Village Administrative Officer, Thirutani, on 5.8.2013, and the Revenue Inspector, Thirutani Taluk, has called the petitioner as well as the parties interested for enquiry and accordingly, the petitioner appeared and his statement was also recorded on 17.8.2013, and thereafter, nothing has happened, and hence, he came forward to file this writ petition.

3.Heard the submissions of Mr.P.Chandrasekar, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner, and Mr.M.Digvijaya Pandian, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepted notice on behalf of the respondent.
4.This Court, without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs the respondent to consider the issue relating to the correction of name in the computer patta, in respect of the above said properties in question, and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible and not later than six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after putting on notice, the persons concerned, and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as to the persons concerned. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
