PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, seeking Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to enter the name of the petitioner in the revenue records and issue patta in respect of the property viz, land, comprised in Survey No.39/2, Thiruvottriyur Village, Thiruvottriyur Taluk, Chennai District, measuring 15,000 sq. ft. and a shed bearing Door No.B7, K.R.Sundaram Industrial Estate, Masthan Kovil Street, Ennore Express Road, with measurement of 2400 sq.ft. and pass orders.

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to effect the mutation in the revenue records by adding the name of the petitioner pursuant to the application submitted by the petitioner on 15.05.2019.

2.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner became entitled to the property by virtue of registered sale deed dated 22.08.1984. The petitioner made an application seeking for patta before the second respondent on 15.05.2019. Since the same was not considered, the petitioner also sent a reminder on 07.07.2020. There was no response from the side of the second respondent and therefore, the present writ petition has been https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

filed before this Court seeking for appropriate directions. 3.Heard Mr.K.Prem Kumar, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.S.N.Parthasarathy, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents. 4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief that has been sought for in this writ petition, there shall a direction to the second respondent to consider the application filed by the petitioner on 15.05.2019 and deal with the same strictly in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the second respondent along with a copy of the application dated 15.05.2019 and all the other relevant documents and also a copy of this order. 5.This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
