Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 3 & 4 to consider the petitioners representation dated 14.12.2017 and consequently, directing the respondents 3 & 4 to rectify the wrong entry in the village accounts and issue patta in favour of the petitioner.

Mr.V.Prabhu, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondents 3 & 4 to consider her representation dated
14.12.2017, wherein and whereby, she sought to rectify the mistake crept in the Revenue records and issue patta in her favour.
3. Heard both sides.
4. It is stated that petitioner is in possession and enjoyment of of the property bearing S.No.279/2 (Old S.No.647/2) measuring an extent of 3.00 acre in Noothapoor (S), Vepanthai Taluk, Perambalur District. It is further stated that the said property was wrongly mentioned as "Government Punchai" in the Revenue records. Hence, the petitioner made a representation on 14.12.2017, to rectify the said mistake crept in the Revenue records. The grievance of the petitioner is that even though the representation was made as early as on 14.12.2017, the respondents have not considered the same. Hence, the present writ petition is filed before this Court.
5. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the fourth respondent to consider and decide. Thus, this writ petition is disposed of, only with a direction to the fourth respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner 14.12.2017 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing all the parties concerned. Such exercise shall be done by the fourth respondent within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
