The prayer in this petition is to direct the Respondent to pass the order in the Settlement Appeal No.3 of 2016 filed on 06.01.2016.
2.By consent of both sides, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
3.According to the petitioner, he filed an appeal petition No.03 of 2016 dated 06.01.2016 before the respondent seeking to rectify the mistake in accordance with the Pondicherry Settlement Act, 1970. Since there is no response from the respondent, the present writ petition is filed.

5.Considering the limited prayer sought for in this petition, this court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter directs the respondent concerned to consider the appeal petition No.03/2016 dated 06.01.2016 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
