ORDER

The writ petition is filed to direct the respondents to settle a sum of Rs.8,05,687/- towards 6% interest for the belated settlement of retirement benefits to the petitioner herein by considering the representations of the petitioner dated 27.02.2023 and 27.03.2024.

2. The petitioner is seeking a relief against the respondents which are the Co-operative Credit Societies. Admittedly, the same are not local or other Authority within the meaning of Article 12 of the Constitution of India. Therefore, this Writ Petition is not maintainable. However, the petitioner is at liberty to take such steps including filing of a revision under Section 153 of the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Act, 1983 for redressal of his grievance.
