O R D E R

(This case has been heard through video conference) The petitioners, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Section 392 and 397 of IPC in Crime No.1231 of 2020, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution as per the defacto complainant is that on 23.05.2020 when he and his friend were staying in OYO Lodge, the petitioner and other accused persons robbed cash and other valuable articles from them at knife point. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the entire statement of the prosecution is a cooked up story and the petitioner is a innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the petitioner is a notorious criminal. He has 7 previous cases of similar nature and he along with other accused persons induced the defacto complainant and other persons to stay at lodge for prostitution and thereafter posing as policemen and threatened the defacto complainant and robbed cash and valuable articles. Hence, he vehemently opposed for grant of Anticipatory bail to the petitioner. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5.Taking into consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case and the above submission so made by the Additional Public Prosecutor that the petitioner has 7 previous cases to his credit, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
