Prayer :- Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondent to consider Petitioner representation dated 09.02.2022 and consequently direct to issue patta in the name of the Petitioner in respect of the Property in Survey No. 58 / 3, 61 / 1, 62 / 1 Situated in Melkavarapattu Village, Panruti Taluk, Cuddalore District.

ORDER
This writ petition is filed seeking direction to the Respondent to consider Petitioner representation dated 09.02.2022 and consequently direct to issue patta in the name of the Petitioner in respect of the Property in Survey No. 58 / 3, 61 / 1, 62 / 1 Situated in Melkavarapattu Village, Panruti Taluk, Cuddalore District.
2. The case of the petitioner is that he is a senior citizen, aged about 70 years and a permanent resident in Panruti. The vast extent of land belongs to his mother Saradammal. The properties are ancestral properties. The agriculture land bearing patta No.302, 303 comprised in S.No.58/3, 61/1, 62/1 situated in Melkavarapattu Village were in possession and enjoyment of the petitioner and his family members. But some trespassers are attempting to dispossess the petitioner from the above said properties. Therefore, the petitioner filed a private complaint before the Panruti Police Station. The petitioner has made a representation dated 09.02.2022 to the respondent for issuance of patta in respect of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
the above said properties. Till date, the same was not considered and therefore, the petitioner has been filed the present writ petition before this Court.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may issue a suitable direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.02.2022 and pass appropriate orders within the time stipulated by this Court.
4. The learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondent submitted that the petitioner's representation dated 09.02.2022 will be considered and suitable orders will be passed on merits within the stipulated period as fixed by this Court.
5. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.
6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought of by the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on merits of the writ petition, the respondent is directed to conduct enquiry on the representation of the petitioner dated 09.02.2022 and, after issuance of notice to the counter parties, if any, and giving them opportunity of hearing, pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
7. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.
