Admittedly, the lands in Survey No.3/8B, Chinnasathapady Village, Mettur Taluk, Salem District, that originally stood in the name of the petitioner, have been acquired by the authorities and possession has also been taken by them. Thereafter, an award has been passed and the compensation has also been deposited in the Treasury.

2. The learned Additional Government Pleader, on written instructions, submitted that a truck lay bye is proposed in the land that was acquired from the petitioner, as well as 9 other land owners.

3. When the respondents have properly initiated the acquisition proceedings and an award has been passed and compensation has also been deposited before the Treasury, the present prayer seeking for an injunction, more particularly when the petitioner has no title or possession over the property, cannot be sustained.
