(1)This application is filed by learned AG&OT seeking permission to purchase one Unit of Advanced Laparoscopy set with High Definition Camera System at a total cost of Rs.35,00,803/- from M/s.Indian Ortho Care Surgicals, Old No.4, New No.7, 91 st Street, Ashok Nagar, Chennai 600083, and to make part payment of Rs.6,00,000/- from the accumulated funds that corresponds to FY
2019-20 which belong to the Trust Estate of Pettukola Rajamannar Chetty for donating the same to the Kanniyakumari Government Medical College Hospital, Asaripallam, Kanniyakumari.
2.In the report filed by learned AG&OT, it is stated that a request has come from Dr.V.Ramalakshmi, Dean, Government Medical College Hospital, Kanniyakumari District, on 05.03.2025 to the office of learned AG&OT seeking donation for medical equipments which are essentially required for the Hospital for the welfare of the poor and needy patients. 3.On the basis of the request letter from the Dean of Government Medical College Hospital, Kanyakumari District, learned AG&OT has also confirmed that Tamil Nadu Medical Service Corporation has accepted the rates quoted by M/s.Indian Ortho Care Surgicals who is the approved supplier of the equipment and has given a quotation for a sum of Rs.35,00,803/- with 12% GST applicable. The supplier has agreed for free transportation and installation of the equipment. The quotation is also annexed in the application. 4.It is seen that the learned AG&OT has assessed surplus funds/income available from different Trust Estates to meet the cost of machine. Further,
learned AG&OT reported that the surplus income which is available with the following five Trust Estates, needs to be spent within five years, i.e., before 31.03.2025 to save tax. Hence, the above application is filed so that the specific amount from each Trust Estate can be paid by learned AG&OT to the supplier of equipment:- Sl.No.

6.Having regard to the statements and facts found in the report, this Court is convinced that the donation serves public interest and the expenditure will be in fulfillment of objects of the Trust.
7.Accordingly, this application is ordered and the learned AG&OT is permitted to purchase one Unit of Advanced Laparoscopy set with High Definition Camera System at a total cost of Rs.35,00,803/- from M/s.Indian Ortho Care Surgicals, Old No.4, New No.7, 91 st Street, Ashok Nagar, Chennai 600083, and to make part payment of Rs.6,00,000/- from the accumulated funds that corresponds to FY 2019-20 which belong to the Trust Estate of Pettukola Rajamannar Chetty for donating the same to the Kanniyakumari Government Medical College Hospital, Asaripallam, Kanniyakumari. 25-03-2025 AP Index:Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Internet:Yes
