O R D E R

Seeking a direction to the respondent no.1 to renew the licence issued to the petitioner in Licence No.35/90 pursuant to the application dated 03.02.2015 for a period of three years, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

2.It appears that the application of the petitioner dated 03.02.2015 has been considered by the respondent no.1. 3.The learned Government Advocate submitted that recommendations have also been made by the respondent no.3 for the renewal of licence.

4.Considering the same, a direction is issued to the respondent no.1 to pass appropriate orders on the pending application of the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the meanwhile, the respondent no.3 shall not interfere with the running of business by the petitioner, as he is relying upon the licence, which prevails till appropriate orders are passed on the application and the earlier licence given deems to be in force.

5.The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
