..Respondents Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the second respondent to take appropriate action on the representation dated 12.06.2014 made by the petitioner with regard to issuance of patta to the petitioner's land to an extent of 1320 sq.ft., in S.F.No.98/1, Vengalam Keelpagam Village, Veppanthattai Taluk, Perambalur District.

ORDER

Heard Mr.K.Thilageswaran, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Gunasekaran, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

2. The petitioner seeks for a direction upon the second respondent to take appropriate action on his representation dated 12.06.2014 with regard to issuance of patta to his land in an extent of 1320 sq.ft., in S.F.No.98/1, Vengalam Keelpagam Village, Veppanthattai Taluk, Perambalur District.

It is seen that the request for grant of patta by the petitioner has been forwarded by the District Collector to the Tahsildar, Veppanthattai Taluk vide proceedings dated 24.06.2014 to take appropriate action on the same. Since the matter is now pending before the second respondent, the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.06.2014 for grant of patta on merits and in accordance with law. The above direction shall be complied with by the second respondent within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
