Mr.N.Inbanathan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents.
2. The petitioners were appointed as Mazdoor in the office of the third respondent. They were suspended from service for certain allegations in 2002. Thereafter, departmental proceedings was initiated against them and the same is still pending. A criminal https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
case was also registered against the petitioners. By judgment dated 24.11.2014, the petitioners are acquitted by the learned IX Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai, in C.C.No.7427 of 2004.
3. The petitioners are Mazdoors. They have been in suspension for more than 10 years as averred by the petitioners. They made representation dated 04.02.2015 to the first respondent to pass orders on their representation requesting revocation of suspension based on the judgment of the criminal court. Since no order is passed, the petitioners have come up with the present writ petition.
4. In view of the narrow prayer made, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the first respondent to pass orders on the representation dated 04.02.2015 relating to revocation of suspension in the light of judgment of the criminal Court referred to above and on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
