ORDER
The petitioner has applied by three separate On-line applications on 08.06.2021 to the fourth respondent for transfer of electricity service connections to his name which stood in his father's name bearing service connection nos. (i) 224-004-53 (LT), (ii) 224-004-63(LT) and (iii)110(HP). But the fourth respondent has transferred two service connections and the transfer was not effected for the remaining one, which pertains to an agricultural service connection bearing no.110(HP) for which, due consent letter has to be obtained from the concerned Village Administrative Officer, Vettampadi Village, Namakkal District.
2.Therefore, except service connection in respect of SC No.110, namely the agricultural service connection, there is no other grievance for the petitioner in this writ petition and therefore, he seeks an appropriate direction to the fourth respondent to transfer the service connection bearing in S.C.No.110 in the name of the petitioner after the production of consent letter from the Village Administrative Officer.
3. Heard Mr.K.Sadhananthan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Vijay Mehnath, learned counsel appearing for the respondents 1 to 4.
4.The learned counsel for the petitioner undertakes before this Court that all the relevant documents with regard to the aforesaid three service connections as required by the respondent Board have been produced except consent letter for the agricultural service connection from the Village Administrative Officer and the same shall be furnished to the respondent Board within a period of one week from today. 5.The learned counsel for the respondents would submit that after production of the consent letter from the Village Administrative Officer, the name transfer will be effected in the name of the petitioner in respect of agricultural service connection.
6.In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, the petitioner is directed to produce the aforesaid consent letter from the Village Administrative Officer to the respondent Board and as and when the said consent letter will be produced to the respondent Board, the respondent Board shall transfer the service connection in the name of the petitioner within a period of eight (8) weeks thereafter.
7.With the above observation, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
