Respondent PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., to extend the time to the petitioner shall surrender before the learned District Munsif Cum Judicial Magistrate, Pochampalli and shall execute a bond for Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the said Judicial Magistrate in Crl.M.P.No.1287 of 2020 dated 29.05.2020 on the file of the Principal District and Sessions Court, Krishnagiri in Crime No.637 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police.

O R D E R
(The case has been heard through video conference) The learned counsel of the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was granted anticipatory bail by the learned Sessions Judge, Principal District and Sessions Court, Krishnagiri in Crl.M.P.No.1287 of 2020, dated 29.05.2020 on condition to surrender before the Learned District Munsif Cum Judicial Magistrate, Pochampalli within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. He would further submit that due to Covid-19 pandemic situation, he was unable to comply with the order within the stipulated time. Thereafter, he filed an online petition for extension of time before the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge. But the learned Judge has refused to entertain the application stating "how this petition is maintainable to be stated" and returned the same and thereby, the present petition seeking for extension of time has been filed.
2. In view of the above submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this petition is ordered and time is extended for a 2/4
further period of two weeks after lifting of lockdown or the commencement of the Court's normal functioning whichever is earlier, to surrender and execute sureties before the concerned Magistrate as ordered in Crl.M.P.1287 of 2020 on 29.05.2020. 29.07.2020 Index : Yes/No Internet : Yes/No SSI To
