The Writ Petition has been filed for removal of the president and the village panchayat elected in the year 2011. Now the period is already over. Therefore, nothing survives for adjudication.

Even if any notification issued under subsection (11) of Section 205 of the Panchayat Act, in respect of the removal of the president, the bar for contesting the election will operate only for three years from the date of such notification. Therefore, there will also be no bar for the petitioner for the present to contest the election by virtue of his removal from the post of president. 3.
