ORDER

The petitioners, who were arrested on 24.04.2021 for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 323, 324, 307 and 506(ii) IPC in Crime No.557/2021, on the file of the respondent police, seek bail.

2. It is seen from the submissions that the first accused and the victim loved the same girl and as a result, there was a quarrel between them. As a consequence thereof, the petitioner and other accused said to have attacked the victim at about 11 a.m. The victim was stabbed with a knife, which caused damage to the intestine and kidney and the victim is still in hospital and treated as an inpatient.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners are innocent and therefore, seeks bail to them.

4. However, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor strongly opposed this petition on the ground that the victims was attacked seriously by the petitioner and still taking treatment as inpatients in the hospital.

5. Taking note of the fact that the petitioner have caused serious injuries to the victim and he is still taking treatment as inpatient at hospital, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.
