..Respondent in all the writ petitions Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to dispose of the representation dated 07.04.2016 submitted by the petitioners and appoint them as Conductors in the respondent Transport Corporation.

Additional Government Pleader COMMON ORDER By consent, the Writ Petitions are taken up and disposed of at the admission stage itself.

2. These writ petitions have been filed seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to dispose of the representation dated 07.04.2016 submitted by the petitioners and appoint them as Conductors in the respondent Transport Corporation.

3. The case of the petitioners is that they took appropriate training to become Conductors and they also possess valid licence to hold the said post. According to the petitioners, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

they have also got work experience in the said post and had also registered with the District Employment Office, Chennai. Since the petitioners are all qualified, they were called for an interview and pursuant to the same the petitioners also participated in the interview as early as 10.12.2014. According to the petitioners, they were hoping to get appointment orders as they all possess requisite qualifications and there are also several vacancies in the respondent-Transport Corporation. However, till date the results were not published. Therefore, they submitted representations to the respondent dated 07.04.2016. Since there was no response, they are before this Court by filing these writ petitions.

4. When the matter is taken up today for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners would be satisfied, if the representations submitted by them is considered and appropriate orders are passed within a reasonable time.

5. Mrs.M.E.Raniselvam, learned Additional Government Pleader, who took notice on behalf of the respondent has got no serious objection for such course of action.

6. Considering the submissions made on either side and taking into account the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioners, directs the respondent, to consider the representation submitted by the petitioners dated 07.04.2016 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion with regard to the merits of the claim made by the petitioners.
