ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) This public interest litigation has been filed seeking issuance of direction to the second respondent to take appropriate steps on petitioner's representation dated 29.01.2024 in the matter of alleged encroachment by the fourth respondent.
2. At the outset, learned counsel appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that after getting survey conducted, a memo has been sent by the Tahsildar/second respondent to the Commissioner/third respondent for initiating
proceedings for removal of encroachments.
3. Learned counsel for the third respondent would submit that the entire exercise would require approximately four months' time to be concluded.
4. In view of the statement so made and the steps which are already taken, we are not inclined to keep this petition pending. At this stage, petition is disposed of on the statement so made. In case the proceedings are not brought to its logical conclusion one way or other within a reasonable time, as stated by learned counsel for the third respondent, it would be open for the petitioner to take appropriate remedy.
