ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed seeking for Mandamus to to direct the respondent to consider petitioners representation dated 30.01.2025 for cutting the teak tree and neam tree which was plated and maintained by petitioner.

2. The brief facts of case are that petitioner owns an agricultural land situated in Varadappanur Village bearing Survey No.192/3, 192/2 and he had planted Teak and Neem trees in the above said land. On 30.01.2025, petitioner sent a representation to the first respondent/ the District Collector seeking permission for cutting of the Teak Tree and Neem tree which was planted by him and thereafter, the District Collector has sent a communication dated 12.03.2025 to the fourth respondent to conduct enquiry and forward a copy of

report. Since then, no action has been taken on the petitioner's representation. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court by way of this Writ Petition.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if a direction is issued to respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.01.2025.

4. M/s.R.L.Karthika, the learned Government Advocate takes notice for the first, third and fourth respondents and Dr.T.Seenivasan, Special Government Pleader takes notice for the second respondent.

5. Learned Government Advocate appearing for the first, third and fourth respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner dated 30.01.2025 will be considered and appropriate orders will passed within a time stipulated by this Court.

6. Heard both sides and perused the records.

7. Considering the facts of the case and the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 30.01.2025 and after giving due notice to the petitioner, an opportunity of personal hearing and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
