Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to pay the admitted amount of Rs.6,991/- to the 1st petitioner, Rs.16,435/- to the 2nd petitioner, Rs.15,548/- to the 3rd petitioner, Rs.14,540/- to the 4th petitioner and Rs.37,284/- to the 5th petitioner and Rs.32,504/- to the 6th petitioner by

considering their representations towards encashment of earned leave surrendered by the husband of the 1st and 2nd petitioners and by the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th petitioners along with 12% interest per annum from the date of retirement within the time frame fixed by this Court. ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction against the respondents to pay the admitted amount towards encashment of earned leave surrendered by the husband of the 1st and 2nd petitioners and by the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th petitioners along with 12% interest per annum. In this connection, the petitioners had given their representations on various dates.

2.Heard the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents. 3.A direction is issued to the respondents to consider the representations of the petitioners and to examine the service register of the husband of the 1st and 2nd petitioners and the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th petitioners and if they are eligible, pay the said amount together with interest at 6% per

annum from the date of retirement till the date of actual disbursement. The entire procedure must be completed within a period of eight months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
