[RESPONDENTS] Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to sanction incentive increment for the petitioner for acquiring the M.Phil. Degree dated ..3.1994 with effect from the date of promotion to the Post of PG Assistant on 23.11.2008 by considering the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 14.2.2014 with arrears of salary with interest within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

As the issue lies in a narrow compass, with the consent of the learned counsel appearing on either side, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2.Taking into account the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, the Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the first respondent to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 14.02.2014, for incentive increment, as he has acquired M.Phil degree, in the light of G.O.(2D) No.15,School Education Department dated 28.03.2013, the orders passed by this Court in W.P.(MD) No.11802 to 11805 of 2013 dated 24.07.2013 and W.P.Nos.34618 to 34621 of 2013 dated 19.12.2013, and pass appropriate orders on merit and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
