O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the representation dated 01.03.2019.

2.The case of the petitioner is that there was fire at his house on the intervening night of 27.10.2017 and 28.10.2018 and damages were caused to the cars parked at his house. Hence, a complaint was lodged and the same was registered as Crime No.369 of 2017 on the file of the third respondent. CCTV Footages of the said incident were recovered from the petitioner's neighbours house, however, the third respondent without considering the same conducted a shoddy investigation and filed charge sheet and the same was taken on file by the learned Judicial Magistrate No.3, Salem in PRC No.17 of 2017. Being not satisfied with the investigation conducted by the third respondent, the petitioner made representation dated 01.03.2019 to the respondents 1 and 2 and since there is no action, has filed this writ petition.

3.The learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that this Court may issue direction to the respondents to consider the CCTV Footages recovered from his neighbours house and call details and conduct further investigation by considering his representation dated 01.03.2019 and to take a decision, within a reasonable time frame.

4.In view of the above, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.03.2019 and conduct further investigation by considering the CCTV Footages recovered from his neighbour's house and call details and conclude the same, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.This writ petition is accordingly disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
