RESPONDENTS Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents herein to consider the Degree in Mathematics conferred by the Vinayaka Mission University (formerly known as Vinayaka Mission and Research Foundation) Salem a Deemed University as valid in consonance with the G.O.Ms. No.39 Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department dated 30.4.2014 and consequently direct the respondents to include the name of the petitioner in the panel for promotion to the Post of B.T.Assistant (Science) as on 1.1.2015 and consequently promote the petitioner to the Post of B.T.Assistant (Science) forthwith. With the consent of the learned counsel appearing on either side, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2.The petitioner is a Secondary Grade Teacher. The petitioner underwent B.Sc. (Science) from Vinayaka Mission University and the said degree was approved in view of G.O.Ms.No.39, Personnel land https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Administrative Reforms Department dated 30.04.2014. In these circumstances, the petitioner has sought for considering his case for inclusion of his name in the panel for promotion to the post of B.T.Assistant (Science) as on 01.01.2013.

3.In view of the narrow prayer made and in the light of the order made in W.P.Nos.16976 & 16981 of 2015 dated 16.6.2015, the respondents are directed to consider the Degree in Mathematics conferred by the Vinayaka Mission University (formerly known as Vinayaka Mission and Research Foundation) Salem, a Deemed University, as valid in consonance with the G.O.Ms. No.39 Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department dated 30.4.2014 and pass appropriate orders and the second respondent is further directed to permit the petitioner to participate in the counselling for the post of B.T.Assistant (Science).
