Respondents Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure praying to direct the 1st respondent to transfer the investigation pertaining to crime No.31 of 2015 on the file of the Needamangalam Police Station either to transfer the case to the Crime Branch CID Wing or DCB, Thiruvarur or any other Inspector of Police other than the present investigation officer the said Arivazhagan and to conduct the investigation in a proper manner as per the law and to pass orders to conclude the investigation within a time limit.

This petition has been filed to direct the 1st respondent to transfer the investigation in Crime No.31 of 2015 on the file of the 2nd respondent to the Crime Branch CID Wing or DCB, Thiruvarur or any other Inspector of Police other than the present investigation officer.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner; learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents and perused the materials placed on record.

3. It is seen that the 2nd respondent police have registered a case in Crime No.31 of 2015 under Section 324, 307 IPC r/w Section 3 [1] of PPDL Act.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the investigation is not proceeding in the proper lines.

5. Under such circumstances, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mannargudi, in whose jurisdiction, Needamangalam Police Station falls is directed to monitor the investigation in Crime No.31 of 2015.
