The defendants were set ex parte by this Court and the matter was listed for recording the ex parte evidence of the plaintiff. By this application, the plaintiff seeks permission to record evidence through video conferencing.

2. In the affidavit in support of the application, it is stated that the witness is currently based in Haryana and is unable to travel to Chennai for being physically present for recording evidence. By considering these reasons, this application is allowed by permitting the plaintiff to adduce evidence through Mr.Nitin Kalra by video conferencing subject to the condition that the Madras High Court Video Conferencing in Court Rules, 2020 are adhered to in such regard.
