Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, calling for the records of the 1st respondent in respect of the petitioner's representation dated 12.02.2019, and directing the 1st respondent to issue a patta in the petitioner's name.

Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondent to consider the representation dated 12.02.2019, wherein and whereby, she sought for issuance of patta in her favour in respect of the property in Survey No.30/6, measuring an extent of 0.16 cents and Punja Survey No.28/19, measuring an extent of 0.14 cents situated at Old No.138, New No.12, Thiruvancherry Village, Tambaram, Kancheepuram District.

4. It is stated that the petitioner has purchased the above said property on 05.10.2005 vide Document No.4915 of 2005 and from the date of purchase, she is in possession and enjoyment of the same. It is further stated that the petitioner got patta only in respect of 0.16 cents of land in Survey No.30/6.

Thereafter, the petitioner made a representation on 12.02.2019 before the respondents seeking for issuance of patta in respect of the land measuring an extent of 0.14 cents in Survey No.28/19, Thiruvancherry Village, Tambaram Taluk, Kancheepuram District. However, the respondents has not considered the same. Hence, the present writ petition.

5. This Court at this stage is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the first respondent to consider and decide the same. Thus, this writ petition is disposed of, only by directing the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.02.2019 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner and other interested parties, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the first respondent within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
