Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to dispose of the Statutory Appeal dated 02.09.2019 preferred by the petitioner under Section 17 of the Tamil Nadu Document Writers License Rules and pass order on merit in accordance with law.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for a issue of writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to dispose of the statutory appeal filed by the petitioner on 02.09.2019 within the time frame fixed by this Court.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the show cause notice came to be issued by the second respondent on 13.03.2019. Pursuant to the same an enquiry was conducted and the second respondent by an order dated 01.08.2019 canceled the license of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the petitioner. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner filed the statutory appeal under Rule 17 of the Tamil Nadu Document Writer License Rule before the first respondent. The grievance of the petitioner is that no steps have not been taken to hear the appeal till date. Therefore the present writ petition has been filed seeking for appropriate directions.

3. Heard Mr.G.Pugazhenthi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.T.M.Pappiah, learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents.

4. Taking into consideration the facts of the case and the limited relief sought for in the writ petition, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to deal with the statutory appeal filed by the petitioner on 02.09.2019 and pass appropriate orders strictly in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the first respondent along with the copy of the appeal filed on 02.09.2019 and also a copy of this order.

5. This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No cost.
