This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to take appropriate action against the respondents 4 to 13 and consequently consider the representation dated 20/3/2020 submitted by the petitioner.
2. The facts of the writ petition as averred in the writ petition are as follows:- Page No:2/6
The petitioner is a devotee of Arulmighu Mahaliamman temple situated at Palaniyur Kottur, Aanamalai Circle, Coimbatore District. The devotees have donated huge money for charitable purpose, functions, etc. From that resource, fourth and fifth respondents have colluded with each other and swindled the public money. Hence, the petitioner had made a representation dated 20/3/2020, to the respondents 1 to 3. Since the same has not been considered, the petitioner has come forward with the instant writ petition.
3. Heard Mr.M.Dinesh, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.K.Karthikeyan, learned Government Advocate (HR & CE) for the respondents 1 and 2, Mr.L.Baskaran, learned Government Advocate for the third respondent and Ms.V.S.Usha Rani for the respondents 5 to 12.
4. The learned counsel appearing for the fourth respondent submitted that during the COVID period, the petitioner had submitted the representation. Hence, action could not be taken immediately by the Joint Commissioner, however, Joint Commissioner shall take action on the representation of the petitioner dated 20/3/2020, by issuing notice to all Page No:3/6
concerned.
5. Submission of the learned counsel appearing for the fourth respondent is recorded.
6. Accordingly, second respondent is directed to consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 20/3/2020, after affording opportunity to all the respondents, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if not already passed.
7. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 22/10/2024 mvs.
