ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash the proceedings in connection with PRC No.14/2016 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No.1, Attur.

Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent Police submitted that the petitioners herein are A2 to A5, who are similarly placed as A1 and this Court, in Crl.O.P.No. 28776 of 2019, vide order dated 23.03.2023, has already quashed the proceedings in PRC No.14/2016 against A1 and that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the impugned proceedings pending against the petitioners herein, who are arrayed as A2 to A5. 3.

In view of the above, the impugned proceedings as against the petitioners (A2 to A5) stands quashed and this Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed. 18-12-2025 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order RPP To
