Respondents Habeas Corpus Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus calling for the records of the second respondent District Magistrate and District Collector,Tiruppur District herein made in Ref.Cr.M.P.No.9/Goonda/2021 dated 15.04.2021 detaining the detenu Chandru s/o.Murali, aged 26 years, branding him as a Goonda u/s.2(f) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14/1982 at Central Prison, Coimbatore and set aside the same and set the detenu at liberty forthwith.

[Order of the Court was made by R.N.MANJULA, J] The petitioner is the wife of the detenu viz., Chandru s/o.Murali, aged 26 years. The detenu has been detained by the second respondent by his order in Cr.M.P.No.9/Goonda/2021 dated 15.04.2021, holding him to be a "Goonda", as contemplated under Section 2(f) of Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982. The said order is under challenge in this Habeas Corpus Petition.

2. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the detention order passed against the detenu in Cr.M.P.No.9/Goonda/2021 dated 15.04.2021, on the file of the second respondent is revoked vide G.O.Rt.No.2637, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XII) Department, dated 14.06.2021 and produced a copy of the said order.

In view of the above, this petition is closed as it has become infructuous.
