O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] It is the case of the petitioner that her husband V.Vijayakumar, aged about 34 years, went missing from 02.01.2021 and that, the Police are not taking effective steps to secure him and hence, he filed this petition seeking aforesaid relief.

On instructions, Mr.R.Muniyapparaj, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), submitted that, on a complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Thirunindravur Police Station Crime No.5 of 2021 has been registered on 06.01.2021 for 'man missing' and the investigation is under process.

In such view of the matter, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed, with a direction to the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Ambattur, to monitor the investigation in Thirunindravur Police Station Crime No.5 of 2021 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when the detenu viz. V.Vijayakumar is secured, he shall be produced before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Ambattur, under intimation to the petitioner. On such production, the learned Judicial Magistrate, Ambattur, shall pass appropriate orders with regard to the custody of the detenu in accordance with law.
