Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to take action on the appeal preferred by the petitioner dated 21.01.2015, fixing outer time limit.

By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that the petitioner preferred an appeal before the second respondent under Right to Information Act on 14.11.2015 and since the said official did not furnish the information sought for by the petitioner within two months, she preferred further appeal before the first respondent on 21.01.2015. As no orders have been passed, came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of Mr.V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2 and Mr.M.L.Mahendran, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice for the third respondent.

4. This Court, in the facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 21.01.2015 on merits and pass orders in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible and not later than 10 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
