Respondent(s) PRAYER Civil Revision Petition filed under Article 227 of Constitution of India, prays to set aside the Order passed by the learned IV Additional Family Judge, Chennai, dated 19.02.2026 in IA.No.1 of 2025 in OP.No.2780 of 2025. For Petitioner(s):
Mr.Y.Kajanavas For Respondent(s):
ORDER
The revision petitioner has filed this revision to set aside the order passed by the learned IV Additional Family Judge, Chennai, in I.A.No.1 of 2025 in O.P.No.2780 of 2025, dated 19.02.2026.
2. Challenging the interim maintenance awarded by the trial Court, the husband has preferred this revision. Before the trial Court, the wife filed an application seeking interim maintenance for the child. The Court directed payment of Rs.10,000/- per month from the date of the petition, i.e., 19.09.2025, till disposal of the O.P.
3. Aggrieved by the same, the learned counsel for the husband submitted that he is repaying EMIs for two loans availed for marriage purposes, and that the respondent/wife is also earning. However, without considering these aspects, the entire burden has been cast upon him. Hence, he seeks modification.
4. On perusal of the records, it is seen that both parties are separated and employed. The husband stated that his net salary is Rs.33,513/- after deductions, and that he is servicing two loans. Considering these factors, this Court is inclined to modify the maintenance amount from Rs.10,000/- to Rs.8,000/- per month payable to the child until further modification. Both parties are directed to cooperate for disposal of the main proceedings.
5. Accordingly, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs. 16-04-2026 Index:Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Internet:Yes rri
