ORDER

When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Additional Advocate General for the respondents has produced a copy of an order dated 01.03.2024 in Proc.No.24333/2012/EE.2, wherein the Director of Rural Development & Panchayat Raj, Chennai - 15 has requested the District Collector, Vellore to give necessary reposting order of the petitioner.

Pursuant to the above, a Government Order has also been issued in G.O.(Ms).No.39 Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (E3) dated 01.03.2024, wherein the proposal of the Director of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj has been examined by the Government and after careful examination, the proposal of the Director of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj for inclusion of the name of the petitioner/Overseers in the panel in the post of Assisstant Engineer for the year 2013-2014 on par with the Junior one Thiru.N.Somasundaram has been recommended in relaxation of the services prescribed under Rule 5(b)(2) of the Tamil Nadu Panchayat Development Service Rules.

3. In view of the above, nothing further remains to be adjudicated in this Contempt Petition. Accordingly, this contempt petition stands closed.
