High Court in exercise of powers of Judicial Review under Article 226 of Constitution of India, cannot issue a direction to the Revenue Authorities to consider the representation, which would result in conferring power of the Civil Court.

The petitioner claims that her property rights are infringed. Mrs.A.V.Bharathi, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner would submit that District Revenue Officer and Tahsildar have to conduct an enquiry.

Disputes of civil nature cannot be adjudicated by the Revenue Authorities. Whenever such dispute arises, the parties are to be relegated to approach the competent Civil Court of law.

Learned Counsel for the petitioner after arguing the matter for considerable length of time has chosen to withdraw the writ petition. 5.

Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed as withdrawn. No costs.
