O R D E R

(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 03.07.2020 for the offences punishable under Section 341, 294(b), 332, 307 and 506(1) IPC, in Crime No.316 of 2020, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution as per the defacto complainant one Manivannan is that he is working as a Special Superintendent of Police in Thuthur Police Station and that he has registered a case against A1 and his mother and his mother in Crime No.241 of 2020. Enraged by the same, on 03.07.2020, while the defacto complainant was proceeding towards his office, the petitioner along with other accused waylaid him and assaulted with hands and stones resulting in him sustaining injuries.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case.

4.Per Contra, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) would https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

vehemently oppose stating that the defacto complainant is the Special Sub Inspector of Police in Thuthur Police Station, since he has registered a case against A1, the petitioner along with other accused waylaid the defacto complainant while he was proceeding to his office and hurled stones at him and abused him with filthy language. 5.Taking into consideration of the serious allegations made against the petitioner by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner for the present.
