By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner, who was appointed as Sanitary worker by the 3rd respondent herein, is also entrusted with additional charge from 05.04.2013 for Ward Nos.1 and 2, Kizhakasakudy, Thalatheru under the Karaikkal Municipality. The grievance

expressed by the petitioner is that though he is paid with the salary for the post of Sanitary Worker, the respondents refused to pay the salary for the additional charge of Sanitary Maistry Grade II (in charge). In this regard, the petitioner has given representations dated 25.11.2015 and 25.01.2016 to the third respondent and the petitioner's Association has also given several representations dated 29.07.2013, 04.06.2015, 10.08.2015, 18.03.2016 28.07.2016 and 24.08.2016. But, till date the respondents have not come forward to consider the said representations. Therefore, the petitioner came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

4. This Court, in the light of the facts and circumstances of the case and without going into the merits of the claim, directs the third respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representations dated 25.11.2015 and 25.01.2016 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
