O R D E R

The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to measure S.F.No.602/1 of Perunthulovu Village and issue patta to the extent of 1.04.0 hectares (2.59 acres).

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has given a representation dated 07.11.2016 for measuring and issuing patta in respect of the land. However, the respondents have not measured and issued patta to him.

3. Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Special Government Pleader taking notice for the respondents submitted that the 3rd respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation and pass orders in accordance with law.

4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 3rd respondent to measure the petitioner's land and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 07.11.2016, after giving notice to all the interested parties, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
