Mr.R.P.Murugan Raja, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the time of admission itself.
2.The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to pass necessary orders on the basis of the proposal sent by the 3rd respondent to the first respondent on 22.10.2016 in his proceedings Ref.
No.LA/BIC/AO/2010 dated 22.10.2016.
3.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner's father was owned agricultural land situated in S.No.29/1, Olapatti Village, Uthangarai Taluk, Krishnagiri District to an extent of 2.74 acres. The said land was acquired by the respondents for industrial purpose invoking under the provisions of Tamil Nadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purpose Act, 1997, but, the compensation was not paid to the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner made a request to the respondents to allot alternative land in Reddipatti Village near the boundary of SIPCOT lands. In this connection, the third respondent sent a proposal to the first respondent vide his proceedings dated 22.10.2016. However, till date, the first respondent has not taken any steps and no order is passed. Hence, the petitioner has file the present writ petition before this Court with the above said prayer.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may issue a suitable direction to the first respondent to pass orders on the letter forwarded by the third respondent within the time stipulated by this Court.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, this Court, directs the respondent first respondent to pass orders on the letter forwarded by the third respondent dated 22.10.2016, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the aforesaid direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
