This writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned refusal check slip issued by the respondent dated 21.03.2025 and for a consequential direction to the respondent to register the release deed executed by the petitioner in favour of his younger brother.

2. Heard Mr.R.Dhanasekar, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.U.Baranidharan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondent.

3. The refusal check slip has been issued on the ground that the petitioner did not produce the original title document. The petitioner, in the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition, stated that the original title document was lost in the year 1999 itself and a paper publication was also taken in this regard and that the document is not able to be traced.

4. In view of the above, the impugned refusal check slip dated 21.03.2025 issued by the respondent is hereby quashed. There shall be a direction to the petitioner to add a recital in the release deed to the effect that the original title document has been lost and a paper publication has been made in this regard. If the same is done, there shall be a direction to 2/4

the respondent to register the release deed, if it is otherwise in order. This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
