ORDER

The petitioner apprehends arrest for the alleged offence under Sections 147, 148, 448, 341, 307, 302, 506(ii) r/section 109 of IPC in Crime No.26 of 2019 on the file of the respondent police seek anticipatory bail.

2. The petitioner was earlier arrested and released on bail. Subsequently, he absconded and jumped bail on 29.01.2026, and a Non-Bailable Warrant was issued and executed against him on the same date. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that a Non-Bailable Warrant was issued against the petitioner on 29.01.2026, and even prior to that, Non-Bailable Warrants had been issued on three occasions. It is submitted that, as and when the case reached a crucial stage, the petitioner absconded and later reappeared, thereby causing delay in the progress of the trial. It is further submitted that the case is now at the stage of framing of charges and that the Sessions Case is of the year 2022. Hence, he prayed for grant of bail.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), appearing for the respondent police, reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that due to the petitioner's abscondence, the trial was stalled. Hence, he opposed the grant of bail.

5. Considering the above circumstances, and in view of the fact that the case has reached the stage of framing of charges, this Court is of the view that it is not an appropriate stage to consider the petitioner's bail petition.
