O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the third respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner Association on 26.04.2021 to restore the electricity connection within a time limit stipulated by this Court.
2. The case of the petitioner is that the subject property was purchased by way of a registered sale deed dated 10.10.1966 and patta was also issued in the name of the owner of the property in Patta No.246. The further case of the petitioner is that the petitioner Association was registered under the Societies Registration Act in the year 1987. Thereafter, electricity connection was also given to the property and in order to substantiate the same, the EB Card and EB Bill statement has been filed in the typed set of papers.
3. The grievance of the petitioner is that all of a sudden, the third respondent has disconnected the electricity connection based on the directions given by the revenue authorities. The petitioner immediately made a representation in this regard on 26.04.2021. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed seeking for appropriate directions.
4. Heard Mr.P.A.Chitramani, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.L.Jai Venkatesh, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.
5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for, there shall be a direction to the third respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner Association on 26.04.2021 and take a decision in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner Association is directed to make a fresh representation to the third respondent along with relevant documents and also a copy of this order.
6. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
