Heard Mr. S.Ambalavannan, Learned Counsel for the Petitioner and Mrs. C.Sangamithirai, Learned Special Government Pleader for the First, Second, Fourth to Sixth Respondents and Mr. S.Balaji, Learned Counsel for the Third Respondent and perused the materials placed on record, apart from the pleadings of the parties.

The Writ Petition had been filed for directing the Respondents to credit the interest for the sum of Rs.1,79,223/- towards teachers provident fund from February 2012 to May 2015 to the general provident fund Account No. 168123/ EDN of the Petitioner by considering his representation dated 19.02.2018 made in that regard.
3.Learned Counsel for the Third Respondent refers to the Counter-Affidavit dated 14.11.2019 filed by the Third Respondent in which it has been stated as follows:- "In view of the fact that Teachers Provident Fund (TPF) accounts of the Teachers of the Panchayat Union Elementary and Middle School are being maintained by this office from 01.04.2014 and also his TPF amount has been lying in Government Account under Major Head 8009 during the said period for which he is eligible for interest as per rules, as claimed by the Petitioner, a sum of Rs.77,602/- has been credited towards interest for the balance in his TPF account of Rs.1,79,223/- for the period from February 2012 to May 2015. As the grievance of the Petitioner had been settled, the writ petition may please be dismissed as infructuous and justice rendered."
In view of the same, nothing remains for further consideration in the Writ Petition.
