ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.11.2025.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner joined the respondent Corporation as a Junior Engineer and retired from service under the Voluntarily Retirement Scheme on 15.05.2018, while serving as Selection Grade Assistant Engineer in the Tharamangalam Branch of the respondent Corporation. After his retirement, the terminal benefits such as gratuity was paid on 01.04.2019, however, the differential gratuity amount of Rs.3,61,619/- P.F. Employee Contribution of Rs.8,00,000/-, a recovery amount of Rs.78,200/- and V.R.S. compensation were not settled. Hence, the petitioner made a representation to the respondent on 27.11.2025. However, till date, the same has not been disbursed to the petitioner. Challenging the same, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent Corporation.

4. Upon perusal of the records, it is seen that the respondent Corporation themselves admitted the amounts due to the petitioner, vide order dated 27.05.2025.

5. Considering the limited request of the petitioner and taking note of the fact that the petitioner's representation has not been considered to date by the respondent, a mandamus, is therefore, issued to the respondent Corporation to pay the eligible differential sum of Gratuity, PF Contribution and recovery amount and VRS Compensation, from the date of entitlement till the date of actual disbursement, along with 6% interest, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
