Heard Mr. P.Sidharthan for the civil revision petitioner.
2. This civil revision petition seeks for expeditious disposal of O.S. No. 3708 of 2019 pending on the file of the XX Additional City Civil Court at Chennai.
3. O.S. No. 3708 of 2019 is a suit for recovery of a sum of Rs.34,80,000/- together with interest and for consequential relief of permanent injunction.
3. When the matter came up for admission on 05.08.2024, I called for a report from the XX Additional City Civil Court at Chennai as to how long the learned Judge would require to dispose of the suit. The learned Judge has sent a report stating Interlocutory Applications are pending and hence, the matter was "mechanically adjourned".
4. Taking into consideration the report of the XX Additional City Civil 2/4
Court at Chennai, who has assured that she would not grant long adjournments to the suit, there shall be a direction to dispose of the suit within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
