ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 16.12.2020 for the offence punishable under Section 224 of IPC in Crime No.1234 of 2020, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was facing several cases; on 12.12.2020 the petitioner was taken to Government Hospital, Coimbatore for taking treatment along with Police escort; when the process for taking treatment was being complied with, the petitioner is said to have escaped from custody of the escort Police. Therefore, this case came to be registered.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been in custody from 16.12.2020. Hence, he seeks to grant of bail to the petitioner.
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor strongly opposed this petition on the ground that the petitioner was already facing two cases. He further submitted that, when the petitioner was taken for treatment to Government Hospital Coimbatore, he pushed the escort Police and escaped from the custody and with great difficulty he was apprehended.

5. Taking note of the nature of the offence and the fact that the petitioner has escaped from the custody of the escort Police when he was taken to Government Hospital, Coimbatore and with great difficulty he was secured, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to him.
