O R D E R

(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 273, 328 IPC r/w.7 and 20(1) of COTPA Act, 2003 in Crime No.76 of 2021 on the file of the respondent, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. It is the case of the prosecution that the petitioner is alleged to have transported 990 Kgs of Tobacco illegally. Hence the complaint.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent submitted that the petitioner is the owner of the vehicle and has transported 990 Kgs of Tobacco illegally. He further submitted that the petitioner is still absconding. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5. Considering the fact that the petitioner has transported 990 Kgs of Tobacco and he is still absconding, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner and accordingly, this Criminal original petition stands dismissed.
