The petitioner, who apprehends arrest for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 417, 376(2)(n) and 294(b) IPC in Crime No.8 of 2024, on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready to abide by any condition that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent submitted that petitioner had sexual relationship with the defacto complainant on the promise to marry her. However, now he refuses to marry. Hence, he vehemently opposed for the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

gd 4.It is seen that this Court on 29.04.2024, posted the matter for mediation. However, mediation between the parties failed. Petitioner has not complied with the interim bail conditions. Taking into consideration the facts of the case and the submissions made by the learned counsels, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
