O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondent to cancel the Property Tax Assessment bearing Registration No.023/035/00238 dated 24.12.2020, which was wrongly issued by the respondent herein in the name of one M.Nagarajan after considering the petitioner's representation dated 20.01.2021.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that though the property tax assessment stood in the name of the petitioner 's father, the respondent without proper enquiry wrongly issued property tax assessment to one M.Nagarajan. He further submitted that the petitioner while applying for property tax assessment came to know that one another assessment number was wrongly given to the petitioner's address and hence the petitioner made a representation dated 20.01.2021 to the respondent to cancel the Assessment which was issued in the name of one M.Nagarajan. Since, the same did not evoke any response, the petitioner has come forward with this writ Petition seeking for the aforesaid relief.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. Perused the material available on record.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the submissions made without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to furnish a copy of the representation dated 20.01.2021 to the respondent, along with a copy of this order.

5.With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
