Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's application dated 13.03.2019 seeking to conduct survey and effect sub division and transfer patta to the petitioner's name with respect to the land property comprised in S.No.111/1, having an extent of 1.10 acres situated at Kottioyur Village, Yelagiri Hills, Tirupattur Taluk, Vellore District. Mr.J.Purushothaman, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondents to consider and pass orders on his application dated 13.03.2019, wherein and whereby, he sought for conducting survey and effecting sub-division and transfer of patta in his favour in respect of the land comprised in S.No.111/1, measuring an extent of 1.10 acres situated at Kottioyur Village, Yelagiri Hills, Tirupattur Taluk, Vellore District.

3. Heard both sides.

4. The grievance of the petitioner is that the said application has not been considered by the respondents so far.

5. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the second respondent to consider and decide the same. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, only by directing the second respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 13.03.2019 on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing all the parties concerned. Such exercise shall be done by the second respondent within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
